1. Read verses 11:1-13. How would you describe what happened in verses 1-5 in your own words? What is your initial response to how David acted in these verses? How do you think David felt after learning Bathsheba was pregnant? How do you think Bathsheba felt? What did David do in verses 6-13 to try to fix the difficult situation he created? How did it work out?

2. Read verses 14-27. What did David do after his initial plan to fix the difficult situation failed? How did it turn out? What do we learn about David? What do you think about David at this point in his life after all you have learned about him?

3. Read verses 12:1-15. What and how did God communicate with David in verses 1-4? How did David respond to the story in verses 5-6? How would you summarize God’s response to David in verses 7-12? How did the conflict conclude in verses 13-15?

4. Read Psalm 51:1-12. This Psalm was written by David after he was confronted by Nathan in 2 Samuel 12. What do you learn about David here? What do you learn about sin? What do you learn about God? What do you learn about how to interact with God regarding your own sin?
